This has been one of my client acquisition hacks, giving away these high quality cards to businesses I interact with.

How do they work?

NFC (near field communication) works just like a “tap to pay” on your card or phone. There is a small chip inside each card with programmable information allowing you to attach data to the card. When someone uses their phone and taps it on the card, the linked data opens or uploads to that phone.

How to use it?

As with most things, there isn’t one “best way” to use these cards, but here are a few ways I have personally used them with great success.

Print several cards with your branding and logos, upload a link to your offer to the NFC tag. When you interact with other business owners at conferences or day to day, impress them with a custom card.
Print cards with a blank space to be able to sharpie in the name of the business you interact with. The cards would come un-programmed when you purchase them, and you can program them with a free NFC app on the spot to give to potential clients. This builds good will between them and you. In addition to good will, they will think of you and your business every time they use the cards.
